VPHOT Blurry Images

HI!

I received images from SNEWS stars.

V0605_Cas images are blurry, not sure if I could process them as usual.

Celsa:

  1. What do you think caused this appearance? Do they look like a donut?
  2. Have you looked at the Star Profile of these stars in VPhot?
  3. Do you think you could change the aperture and collect all the flux/signal of the stars?
  4. Give it a try and see what the magnitudes of the check star and perhaps some of the comps compare to your previous results.
  5. In the end, you could ignore these images if they give poor/unusual results.
  6. I suspect this problem will resolve itself on the next night’s run, after an autofocus?
