Abstract: Monitoring the symbiotic binary R Aqr in support of Chandra and HST observations to capture the effects of the periastron and other phenomena.
Justification: Essential to capture observations prior, during, and after scheduled satellite observations.
There seem to be two light curves on the AID for last season. It appears that two different comp stars are being used and they are of different colors (B-V). I would suggest that observers use the 141 as it matches the color of R Aqr better–or transform your data. It would be helpful for all ccd/scmos observers to use the same comp star. The brightest comp is not always the best one to use. Matching the color produces a better light curve when multiple observers are involved.
