When I try to load the AASO comp star catalog, I get the following error:
No AAVSO sequence available. The AAVSO service might be unavailable. The remote server returned an error (503)
I can load VSX catalog.

Some fields don’t have comps, contact the comp team for new ones. compstars@aavso.org
You can also check on VSP the Variable Star Plotter.

Yes, it is possible that there are no comps in the specific FOV, BUT I think the VSP link was just down for a while? It seems to be working again.
