Stacked image black in VPhot

I just stacked 2 images in VPhot and the stack is completely black.
The two source images appear normal.
Vphot finds the stars and outputs the numbers but I’m not sure if it will work correctly. Any advice please.

The image you see on Vphot is derived from the fits file, it could be a glitch of the converter.

You can download the stacked image and check it with another fits vierwer

The photometry is done directly on the fits file so it’s possible that you see a black image but get good results on photometry.

If you share the three images with NGIA I can do a check on them

Once the black image is displayed, you can adjust the settings in Tools-Image Display.

I sometimes have the problem as well and the origin is always that the stacked image has a dark strip at one or more of the borders of the image. This is a result of a shift of the fields of view between individual frames. Stacking aligns the stars but then leaves a dark strip.
You can download and just cut out s little smaller part of the image und load up again into VPhot.

Many thanks to Gianlucanigro, Ray and MatthiasK for the help.

This is again happening and changes Image Display numbers make no difference. It seems to be stacked images that suffer from this quirk.

Have you tried to cut out a smaller part of the stacked image. If you open the image in FITSWORK, do you see a black" frame". If you remove this frame the image should be okay in VPHOT. My experience at least.
