VPHOT Reporting Magnitude filters BBIVVV

Hi,

I have 6 images from same target, same day with filters;
BBIVVV
I’d like to try:
Stack BB
Stack VVV
Two-color transform the stacked images BV

How do I process and report the I image?
Could I submit 2 reports?

Thanks!

Celsa:

We did something like that in your VPhot course! You should be able to find it in the exercises/quiz.

  1. Run a time series including the stacked B image, the stacked V image and the single I image.
  2. Then run the aavso report in TA.
  3. Remember now?
  4. Yes, you could run 2 reports (e.g., BV; VI).
  5. Alternatively, with a little manual effort, is there something you could do to report only 1 V magnitude?

Ken

I did check Week 5 Exercise 1-2. I’ll check the rest of the exercises.

Thanks!

The course was really great! Thank you for leaving the materials up, they are very useful.

Hi Ken, I prefer two-color transform too, but I keep V values just from BV and do not not use V from VR and VI reports. Is there a sense to report all V’s, in spite of some differences? I thought it pollutes database…
