RU Peg close companion

I have imaged RU Peg, which has a very close 12.6 mag companion in V. My question is how do I do the analysis on this? I can reduce the aperture to encircle only RU Peg, but will the close companion interfere with the photometry or does VPhot handle removing the close companion from the sky aperture?

Brian:

IF you place “only” the target of interest inside the inner measurement aperture, VPhot will effectively handle (remove) the impact of the nearby star that may fall within the sky annulus. It uses an iterative 3 sigma removal process.
