I was wondering if there was any software to quickly and practically review several hundreds, if not many thousands of LC, preferably under Windows.
After extracting all sources for a bunch of images, in a few time series, for a few nights, and sorting them so as the variable stars - known and possibly unkown - pops-up, remains the question of reviewing a lot of LC in a short time.
Yeah, I could do that in Excel - It would be feasible for a few LC, but this is a long process that becomes rapidly impossible to do, for a large quantity of data.
The data are stored in a spreadsheet.
I would’nt waste any time reinventing hot water - maybe a simple solution already exists somewhere.
So … any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
While I have not used it myself, I’ve told by others it’s a very productive tool for inspecting lots of lightcurves.
It’s a Windows desktop app designed for Kepler / TESS mission data. While I don’t know how it supports lightcurve data from other sources, I’d guess it’s doable (it basically read lightcurve data from csv files).
I will have a closer look at this software.
I have installed it on my laptop since a couple of years, and I use it occasionnaly to review some TESS LC - but I wasn’t aware that it could deal with a lot of imported data and LC other than TESS/Kepler.
