As asked in the title, I was wondering if there is an easy way to find the current number of VSX variables that have at least one light curve or one measurment in the AAVSO database?
Does anyone have this information already?
In particular, I am interested in the number of Eclipsing Binaries.
This stat is important for a project I am starting.
Thank you all,

My data is a little bit out-of-date, but I can give you approximate numbers.
In the July 01, 2024 release of VSX there were 2,279,174 catalog entries with approximately 987 thousand Eclipsing variables. Based on observation count data kindly provided by the AAVSO technical staff as of January 2024, there were 6,800 eclipsing variables with 1 or more observations and with an accumulated total of nearly 10 million observations. About 6,100 of these eclipsing variables are non-multiple-type variables (e.g., EA instead of EA+DSCT). The vast majority of these 10 million observations are CCD.
