Downloads from VPhot

Hi VPhot team,

Is there any limitation on downloading images from VPhot. I could also be running into my own internet problem, but I can only download images in small batches (about 12 images max). If I try to download larger sets, it looks like the request is processed, but then I get a “check internet connection” error in my browser download area.

Is there any limitation on downloads from VPhot? I have 72 images of T CrB I’m trying to bulk download and I’ll break it into smaller groups of 12 if necessary, but perfer the whole batch at once.

Andrew:

Try small groups at first and see what the system can handle. Then try larger groups. It probably depends on number and individual image size.Tedious but most reliable test. There is no reliable best answer.

Which browser are you using? Do you have another browser to try?

How big are 72 VPhot images?

I was using Chrome. I can try another browser.

I haven’t tried small batches yet, as lots of images have been coming across from AAVSOnet, and I’ve been focused on doing the photometry.

The images are about 34.5MB each, and get zipped and compressed down to about 10.4MB each.

I was able to download 30 images (about 465MB zipped). So it is working ok…
