AT 2025kw photometry using OSC camera

Hello,

I would like to upload photometry recordings for AT 2025kw done last night :

  • Newton 10 inch
  • No photometry filters used, only IR/UV cut with OSC camera

Here is the linearity of comparison stars in the field using Tycho Tracker in Red using ATLAS R filter :

And the photometric measurement of the target :
MAG (R) : 17.13+/- 0.06

I don’t know how to register my existing MPC Obs code to AAVSO (Y80 / Brenehuen) and how I can submit the mesure ?

Welcome! I am sure that others will have helpful advice to share; however, I thought I’d give a quick answer to your last question:

The AAVSO uses its own observer code system, which automatically assigns you an observer code based on your name. AAVSO observer codes use only letters. So, you won’t be able to match your MPC Obs code exactly. However, you could include your MPC Obs code in the “notes” field of your observation.

You can submit your measurement using WebObs. Here is the link:

https://www.aavso.org/webobs

If you don’t already have an AAVSO observer code, then WebObs will show you where to get one. Otherwise, you can submit your observation using the “Individual Observations” or “Observation Files” links.

Here is a webpage with more detailed instructions: For New Observers | aavso

I hope this helps!

Clear Skies,
Lauren Herrington
