The old site had a simple way to make a light curve: near the top of the webpage was a link to “plot a light curve”. I didn’t see any such quick method on the new site, but eventually found a sidebar link to use VSP. When I clicked the link, my browser (Firefox under Win11) pondered for one minute, then gave up with “504 Gateway Time-out”. This was around 10:30 PM EDT on Sunday night, Sep 6.
Is this a known problem?

Well, one problem is my own, not the site’s: I had forgotten that what I wanted was the “Light Curve Generator”, not the VSP. This tool is now located on a page for applications which one can reach from the AAVSO home page. Near the top right of the home page, click on the link labelled “Tools”. That takes one to a list of many useful tools, one of which is the Light Curve Generator.
I do wonder what’s up with the VSP, though.
