Many of you are contributing members to AAVSO and VSOLJ or other data-sets, but would people be willing to collectively monitor and post any readings that are below 8.5 here?! So we can all be notified immediately and rush to our equipment!!!
I don’t know about you all, but personally, I would give anything to be notified when it gets to below 8.5 - but my equipment doesn’t support such monitoring and notifications.
Please post on this thread if you receive an alert that T CRB is in the early stages of its nova (<8.5).

It’s now 6 months later, and when I did a best effort finetuned Aperture annulus photometry run in 4 filterbands from May 9th, 2026, using AstroImageJ software and I obtained for T CrB:
V=10.44, B=11.64, R=9.25, I=7.84, with errors on the order of 0.01 and SNR > 100, so way above the value you are aiming for. I seem to get the impression it’s becoming like the famous theatre play in Belgium ‘Waiting for Godot’, where the play talks for 2 hours about Godot who is to arrive any moment, but in the end he never arrived. Let’s hope it’s different here and just keep watching out of curiosity – Tom
