Sequences in VPhot

Hi VPhot and Sequence experts,

Is there any reason I should keep my “old” sequences in VPhot? After 3 years, I am looking to go and clean out the old sequences that I don’t use anymore.

An example is T CrB. My original sequences were created in February 2023. When the updates to the finder charts and photometry tables were done for T CrB and the comparison stars around it, I went in and updated my sequences. Also when changes were made to cameras or equipment at AAVSOnet, I went ahead and updated the sequence.
Is there any reason to keep the old sequences? It looks like I can “share” or “delete” the sequences, and I’d like to clean it up to make the work flow smoother.

Many of the sequences are also left over from when I took the VPhot course and other AAVSO Choice courses.

Let me know, otherwise I will delete them to clean things up.

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew, sorry - this has nothing to do with your question but this is the only way I can contact you because emails just bounce back. Mike Poxon here, YSO section leader. I can’t send you the newsletter because it was previously (since 2020) sent by email, and the email address I have for you is your work one, which refuses emails from me. Could you therefore ‘allow’ mails from mikethestarman@gmail.com - you have an awful lot of newsletters to catch up on!

Hi Mike - Can you change my contact email address to my personal email: viram@charter.net

Then I will be sure to get the emails. Our work email security has been upgraded, and many non-business emails are now blocked.

Thanks,
Andrew
