Is it possible to use wide FOV of S50 Pro for bright stars photometry? Can the telescope correct distorsion automatically? Are there an examples of such application?

I was planning to test that when I had time. I do know that the wide field camera has only 10 bit resolution scaled up to 16 bits. But that should be okay for variables like Algol, etc. for times of minimum.

Surprise (for me): aperture in the wide mode is just 3.4 mm.
Is there separate mini camera like smartphone one, or on-axis small mirror?
Yes there is a separate mini camera in the same housing. It also has its own sensor chip.
