Z CAS is currently far too faint for my scope to get a reasonable SNR in V or B (less than 10 SNR stacked). I do get good SNR in the I and R filters. Is there any point to transforming and reporting the I and R filters without a V filter? Thx.
Sure. A quick look at recent photometry in the AAVSO db shows it could use more R and I. Best to observe it regularly, every 10 days or so is the old rule on how often to observe Mira types but that depends on the shape of the LC too. Getting brighter on the rising branch for example it would be ok to observe it more often. Perhaps you could add B and V when bright enough.

Should be able to transform using the two filters as well.
Terrific, will do. I do try for every 10 days or whenever the clouds clear ;0)
