The authors request follow up observations if possible

Keith.

I have added it to my observing program from my remote observatory ROAD (Remote Observatory Atacama Desert). I used the name in the VSX (ASASSN-17cf)

Hello! I’m, happy to add this; however, there are not any comps in my 20x20 arc-min field. I did not see a current request for comps, so I put one in. Thanks.

Mike

Unfortunately, it looks like I’ll be clouded out for the next week.

A very low resolution spectrum (with the ALPY200 to cover the IR region), though it would be bright enough for higher resolution at Rmag ~14

I did a sequence for this (brighter end) a few days back but it’s not brilliant due to unreliable source data. I could do a sequence using Gaia but there would be no B data.

Thanks for posting about this on the forum to let us know Keith! Several folks are now observing it and submitting their data. I’m planning a time series at the next opportunity.

P.S. It goes by ASASSN-17cf in the AAVSO database.
