After relocation to new computer all plugins were installed and VStar reloaded, but there are not plugins in the File menu, in spite of Gaia, VeLa and ZTF. What should I do?
Yes, this can be confusing.
Pages 10 (Observation Sources section) and 113 (in Preferences section) of the VStar user manual detail this.
There is a checkbox in the Plugins Preferences dialog that allows all observation source plug-ins to be shown in the File menu instead of being selectable in the file load chooser dialog. After the checkbox state has been changed, the new setting will only take effect after VStar is restarted.
Perhaps this should be selected by default to avoid confusion?
The feature was added after the number of obs source plugins kept growing and the File menu threatened to become long.
