My VPhot target object has max pixel values between 5000 and 6000.
For my camera these values are not saturated. All my selected comp stars have max pixel values less than 5000. Unfortunately the time series tool will not process my data. Is there any way I can have time series process my data. I have several months of data.
Is there any way the max pixel value for time series analysis could be changed to 6000? Possibly as an option?
What imaging software are you using to collect your images?
Your camera gain and exposure and the star’s magnitude determine the signal strength (adu) of your stars.
If your stars are too faint (small ADU counts), longer exposures are appropriate. What scope and camera are you using?
Why are you trying to change your max adu count to 6000? What do you think will happen there as opposed to 5000? Do you know what your camera’s saturation level is?
My CMOS camera does not become saturated until 60000.
Would it be possible to somehow change the VPhot limit from 50000 to 60000? Maybe as an option?
The images I have uploaded have good data for my target object in the range 53000 to 57000 ADU.
