Lower case letters no longer accepted

There are several places in the new data submittal system where capital letters are now required where it used to allow lower case letters. For instance, if I submit an observation file with my observer code as cwt, an error is thrown and the file is rejected until I change my observer code to CWT. Another example is submitting lines of data that are std instead of STD. That file will also be rejected until every line is fixed. It’s not a big deal but is inconvenient and didn’t used to cause an error.
Thanks,
Walt

Hi Walt,

To simplify the parser, we’re going to enforce strict compliance with the AEFF format. May I ask what software you are using? We can reach out to the developer to request that they fix this issue.

Brian

Isn’t it ironic that while we (the users) must use upper case letters, at least in this forum we are identified in lower case letters?!?!

 Yes, ironic is the word.

Thanks. I think every place I was having this trouble, the lower case letter field was an input parameter I had set up in the software. I can go back and change them all and remember the new limitation when I use webobs in the future.
