Where is the old page listing all of the standard fields with links to VSP star charts? It’s a great summary showing the number of stars in each field and providing sub fields needed for small FOV scopes.
Yes, that used to be where you could find the details of the fields but no more. Only a general description but no description such as RA, Decl, No. stars, etc.
It was extremely useful but I cannot find it now.
Please let us know where it went.
Thanks,
Mark
As of today, 2025 August 27 the link above has only the text and no links to the charts/photom. for any of the fields.
Using the wonderful Edge browser (not really and a Win 11 Pro) computer if it matters.
Firefox also only showing the intro paragraphs.

I have the same issue: the page gives no links to charts/photometry
Sorry for posting this issue again, I didn’t notice the thread already exists.
I do remember seeing more details for standard fields with the 1000/2000/3000/4000 id numbers, and number of stars per field, but also can no longer find them.
(using Firefox in Fedora Linux)

I tried entering the J2000 coords of SA110 in VSP and the chart comes up, but no stars have magnitudes associated and of course the photometry table is a null.
Jim (DEY)
I entered the coords for SA113 and clicked the Standard Field radio button near the bottom of the page and got a bunch of stars in the chart and in the photometric table where they were specified as being from Landolt2009.

To continue… this gets us the photometry once one knows the field but with the table missing from the apps stdfields page it’s hard to know what fields are available.
Everything is in flux on the AAVSO web site(s). I don’t see any improvements from my point of view but continual breakage of what has worked fine for at least 1/2 an “age”.
Even the forum is hard to deal with at times. I have another astronomy group that uses slack… I’ll hold in to my self my opinions of slack but it isn’t much different and no better.
Finding things using the “global” search is almost impossible. Maybe I’m just olde but usability is an important factor in design and implementation for a web front.
IMHO, it must be designed a built as an entire entity not piece-meal. I hope a total working, well tested, and usable web site is being worked on and will be revealed at some point.
Also currently there is no communication from the web site developers about what is being worked on, what is changing or what is planned to be worked on and changed. The changes seem to be driven by–well I’m not sure what the changes are driven by.
Perhaps the web/forum developers/maintenance team can make a new forum area, no comments by the users, to tell us what is coming, what to expect, etc.
Enjoy your life and don’t waste time… it will end faster than you think!
Jim (DEY)
Seems like AAVSO would want to make the standard fields readily available and update TG to handle all of them.
