Homegrown Exoplanet Transit Planning tool

Hey all, fresh off my recent exoplanet transit adventures (and more to follow), I found it tedious to plan for events. Between checking the swarthmore database, my ASIAIR plan, weather, etc, I was moving between multiple data sources to plan a night.

I pulled a lot of info together to develop an exoplanet transit planning tool, that develops a “feasibility score” (from 0-100), based on your gear and location. From there, you can open up the plan details to see the weather forecast during the transit, exposure length recommendations, the expected light curve, and the target elevation and expected meridian flip.

There is a demo mode which assumes a C8 SCT in the Boston area (no info needed), but you can also sign up with an email address to customize your gear and location setup. Email address is not used for any comms or marketing, just as a unique identifier and login mechanism for your unique gear/location.

If this is something that interests you, please take a look and let me know what you think! My goal is to automate as much as the process I can to lower the barrier to entry for those interested in capturing exoplanet transits. My hope is that this would be beneficial for AAVSO and the scientific community as well.
