Hello all,
I am getting pretty good at counting spots in white light and applying a McIntosh classification but the spot in the attached image from today still confuses me. It is clearly of class HSX but some counts I see would call it 2 and some would call it 1. So are multiple umbra “spots” inside one penumbra considered different spots or just one?
