Exoplanet Submission Error

I am trying to submit an exoplanet transit for TOI 5770.01 and the uploader is throwing the following error: “Planet name (TOI-5770.01) not found in https://exoplanetarchive.ipac.caltech.edu/ . Is the planet name missing a suffix letter, like ‘b’?”

I have confirmed that TOI-5770.01 is in the catalog. Here is the link: https://exoplanetarchive.ipac.caltech.edu/overview/TOI%205770.01#planet_TOI-5770-01_collapsible

Here is my table header:

#TYPE=EXOPLANET
#OBSCODE=HJEB
#SOFTWARE=AstroImageJ AAVSO Report Macro Rev. 7.7
#DELIM=,
#DATE_TYPE=BJD_TDB
#OBSTYPE=CCD
#STAR_NAME=TOI-5770
#EXOPLANET_NAME=TOI-5770.01
#BINNING=2x2
#EXPOSURE_TIME=60
#FILTER=V
#DETREND_PARAMETERS=AIRMASS
#MEASUREMENT_TYPE=Rnflux
#SECONDARY_OBSCODES=GJEI

Please advise.

Thank you,

Hi Jerry,

I have seen this error on occasion too. Despite inclusion in the CalTech catalog, I think it’s not included in a corresponding AAVSO catalog.

That’s my guess based on trying to submit less observed objects. Maybe someone knowledgeable will have more than a guess.

One other thought that I haven’t tried: use the TIC number in the CalTech catalog.

The Exosite app maintains a cached copy of the planet names from the caltech archive, updated once a week. So if its really a new planet we may not have record of it yet.
