Boyce Astro course on spectroscopy

I thought some of the forum members here might be interested in an online course offered by Boyce Astro.

The course is entitled “BAROSpection - Introduction to Spectroscopy.” Don’t let the title stop you from checking it out.

The course is a great introduction to using Python for astronomical computing.

At the end of the course, you’ll get select a target to capture using Boyce Astro’s remote CDK17 telescope and Star Analyser.

The cost is $29.95 (sliding scale) to cover the shared computing resources and other miscellaneous costs.

Check out the curriculum here: https://drunarayan.github.io/barospection/. The 8-session course (which I don’t teach) is entirely remote and starts later this month. Add yourself to the wait list if you’re interested. There are places still available.

To learn more about the great work that Pat and Grady Boyce do, see https://boyce-astro.org/. There are other great courses and activities.

I have participated in several of B-A courses. They do an excellent job.
