AAVSO had a major presence at Stellafane Convention in VT last weekend.

  • We had an AAVSO tent in the observing field where we met many interested observers
  • Mark Munkacsy gave an excellent presentation on our smart telescope application effort
  • Dennis Conti presented on how astro photographers can morph into photometrists
  • Peter Bealo presented on the myriad methods amateur astronomers can use to collect data and support the professionals, including observing gamma ray bursts!

Peter, Mark, Dennis,

Thank you for representing the AAVSO at Stellafane this year. It looks like it was a really fun event! Hopefully next year we can bring back the pro-am session and get even more people involved in AAVSO’s activities.
